Who We Are
The Dance Ed Project is an arts organization based in Richmond, VA. DEP is focused and dedicated to promoting equitable and accessible programs in the arts and multi-diverse culture in our communities. With years of experience in dance education, performance, and community engagement, DEP strives to create immersive experiences for everyone to be able to celebrate and nurture creativity. We are passionate educators, artists and creatives, who are committed to continuing to unify and move our communities forward today, tomorrow and in the future.
Kristen "Missy" Harts
Founder
With over 27 years of experience in the dance industry, I am passionate about creating and managing innovative programs that promote diversity, inclusion, and education and bridging the gap between health, wellness and the arts. With my experience, I have worked to create opportunities to engage and facilitate programs and partnerships that bring the world of the arts to underserved communities.
Additionally, I am the Arts Education Program Manager at Washington Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., where I apply my skills in advertising, account management, and business analysis to develop and execute creative projects for TDEP that engage and inspire audiences all across our community.
